We divert many challenging issues with resolve that best meets all involved parties.
MAG Specification Committee - We as Utility Contractors have many specifications to follow in accomplishing our project goals. Being the first "Utility" Contractors Association, we have been and remained involved in the decision making processes of the Maricopa Association of Governments committee to constantly review and maintain construction specifications. In many cases we are the knowledge MAG needs to determine feasibility of new standards or revision of existing standards.

This group is a mix between all membership types and meets a few times per year to take a pulse on our association in analyzing membership benefits.
Associates Committee - NUCA of Arizona is most fortunate to have a very active and generous Associate Membership Roster. The Associate Committee helps us maintain activities, determine strategies for the organization for fund raising, events and is a major contributor for our contactor membership base. This committee designates our charity organizations that we become involved with, helps generously with sponsorships for our annual golf tournament and provides our organization with many extras throughout the year. This committee is comprised of Associate Members only and attended by the NUCA of Arizona President and Executive Director.
Golf Committee - The Golf Committee is the committee that requires full participation of its members and is a very active group. This committee plans and organizes our most successful annual golf outing each spring which has become known statewide as one of the best association tournaments in the state. The annual golf tournament is our association's biggest fund raising event of the year. It funds our sister organization the NUCA of Arizona Education and Scholarship Foundation and in many cases provides additional operational funding for NUCA of Arizona. Each year 288 golfers hit the greens to celebrate another NUCA of Arizona year.
Arizona Locate Resolution Partnership - This is an organization we at NUCA of Arizona have developed with facility owners, Arizona Blue Stake and other agencies to provide a tangible solution to issues that pertain to locating buried facilities. This partnership is a spin-off from the Utility Liaison Committee and has a specific goal to reach and complete. Once completed, the product will benefit anyone who uses Blue Stake for call before you dig requests. It is a vital tool to train not only our contractors, but many others in the industry of damage prevention. This committee has worked with all affected agencies and has produced a contractors' training program that is certain to nationally benchmark damage prevention within the utility construction industry.
